Together with the Dota League, with 150,000 registered players the world’s largest league of WarCraft III Mods Dota, the Entertainment Convention hosts the first offline event. At the weekend from the 7th and 8th of February, the world’s best teams will come to the Entertainment Convention in Hanover and compete for Euro 1,500 price money.
The good news for all Dota players: on Friday, February the 6th, there will be an on-site play-off for a free slot, so that you and your clan can compete at the weekend against MYM and other top teams.

Dear parents and teachers: all games which are freely accessible at the Entertainment Convention also meet the regulations of the Federal Department for Media Harmful to Young Persons (“BPjM”) for children and adolescents under the age of 18 years.
In parts, even stricter access restrictions apply to our games. In any case, our team ensures that all access regulations are observed. This includes the regulation that no one under the age of 18 may play poker. And that’s a promise!

The Entertainment Convention is located at the ABF in Hanover in Hall 21, the car show area. Understandably, our Gaming Area does not want to go unnoticed among so many fascinating car brands. This is the mission on our PCs, which present the free Internet quiz "FreeRice" (www.freerice.com). The questions of the UN learning quiz are sorted by school subjects, while the level of difficulty is adjustable. For each correct answer given by users, the partner companies of the project will donate 20 grains of rice to the WFP. Those answering all questions correctly will thus accumulate approximately 1000 grains of rice.
So far, enough rice to feed 2.6 million people for one day was generated by playing FreeRice! So come and play during these 9 days in order to generate as much rice as possible!!!!

They are simply cult! On tour with trucks and consoles – this is the centre of the Entertainment Convention Roadshow in Hall 21, the car show area of the ABF in Hanover. Not only do our IT trucks look cool, they also invite you to play: there’s an abundance of consoles and game PCs to be found in their interiors. So come on in and play! And because the trucks are packed with IT infrastructure, one of them will host the workshops for teachers on the topic Gaming on the three school days Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of the first week in February.
So, deposit your teachers at the IT truck and go play – this is Entertainment Convention live ;-)
